NRL Rule Book

 Section A:  League Rules

1.  All participants are to refrain from badmouthing, finger pointing, and complaining during  race sessions.  If you feel you have a legitimate complaint, put it in e-mail form after that nights races are completed.  All complaints and/or suggestions will remain confidential.

2.  All participants not on the front row should refrain from going as soon as the green flag drops, you should wait until the cars directly in front of you have accelerated well enough ahead of you that you won't run over them.

3.  Everyone should drive in as clean of a manner that is possible.  Just because someone is slower than you, doesn't give you the right to run over them.

4.  If for some reason you should get disconnected from your ISP, we will give you 5 minutes to return, and if it happens during a race you will be scored as a DNF, we will not re-run a race.   If it takes longer than 5 minutes you may continue to race, and you will be awarded last place points for any events that you did not start.

5.  All finish positions and DNF's will be scored based on number of laps completed.

Section B:  Online Rules

1.  All participants are to ensure that all un-needed programs have been shutdown prior to entering the race servers.  Please use a program such as "End it All" available on the "Files" page of our website to close down all programs except those required for online play.  This is very important and is each members responsibility to ensure it is done correctly.

2.  No changes whatsoever can be made to any of the base game files or NRL League files.

3. If you have a home networking system, only one computer can be running during any league events or functions.

Section C:  Race Format

Race night will be Tuesday, with pre-race meeting starting at 7:00 p.m. Central time, and qualifying/time trials will start at 7:15 p.m.

Each night of official competition, we will have qualifying, Heat races, "B" Main, a Trophy Dash, and then the "A" Feature.

To qualify, we take turns running 3 laps, the fastest lap of the 3 is your qualifying time (everyone else exits the race immediately when the game loads, and goes back in to watch whoever is qualifying).  The four fastest qualifiers will run in the Trophy Dash.

In all Heats and Mains, race line-ups will be based on points average with higher points average starting in the back.  In the first race of Season #9, lineups will be determined by qualifying times with fastest qualifiers in the back.  If a member has no points average after the first points race, they will start scratch for their entire first event, as if they had the highest points average.  Heats are split with highest average points to Heat #1, second highest average points to Heat #2, third highest average points to Heat #1, etc.   Top three finish positions of the Heats will transfer to the "A" Feature, with the balance of racers to the "B" Main.   Top 4 finishers of the "B" Main will transfer to the "A" Feature.   If more than 12 members attend an evening event, additional Heats / Mains will be run with appropriate adjustments to transfer slot assignments.

The Trophy Dash consists of only the top 4 qualifiers, lined up by rank with fastest qualifier on pole (everyone else exits the race immediately when the game loads and goes back in to watch).

We then run the "A" Feature, the starting positions being determined as described above.

Length of races and track wetness:  Qualifying is 3 laps @ 65% wetness, Heats are 10 laps @ 60 wetness, "B" Main is 20 laps @ 55% wetness, Trophy Dash is 4 laps @ 55% wetness and the "A" Feature is 30 laps @ 50% track wetness.

Season Finale will be 99 lap "A" Main Feature with double points for all events, including Bonus Points.
